A centre worth keeping
The design begins with the tree without treating it as an isolated object. The arrangement of surfaces makes its presence readable and establishes connections with walls, steps and the entrances to the house. Open areas alternate with planted edges, leaving room to move through the courtyard and pause within it. The composition looks for a tangible sense of calm: a few elements whose proportions and relationships become clear in the changing light.
Where material meets planting
Stone, plaster and gravel share a pale tonal range, while silver foliage and deeper greens introduce variation. Aromatic plants accompany the route and bring the transition between built surfaces and vegetation closer to daily experience. This concept does not represent a completed commission: the generated images and description communicate a visual intention. Plant species, dimensions and construction details for a real project would need to develop from its particular setting. The value of the scenario lies in the relationship between an existing natural presence and a restrained architectural language, rather than in a formula to transfer unchanged to another garden.
